I’m Iris Desire, the founder of Essenti.
I spent most of my career building software. I was a software engineer, then engineering manager, at companies like Workday and Mailchimp.
I left that behind to launch Essenti, which began with the purchase of a 4 year old recruiting agency called Agricruit. Agricruit places talent in manufacturing and logistics roles across the midwestern agriculture industry.
Despite Agricruit’s success, it was following traditional playbooks with high agency fees and minimal technology implementation.
Under Essenti I designed an AI-powered sourcing and automated infrastructure strategy that improves candidate quality, increases speed, and brings the cost of recruiting down such that we can return those savings to our customers.
Now we’re bringing the Essenti recruiting model beyond agriculture to more industries that power the world.
